The Rectory is Imposing and Strong and stands as the ‘Manor House’ of the hamlet.

Approaching down the lane towards elegant brick gateposts, the symmetrical and handsome house stands tall, inspired by the English Georgian country house.

Outside The Rectory there is a gravel driveway and a double garage, providing plenty of parking, while to the rear there are gardens including a lawn and an area of paved terracing, bordered by fencing and hedgerow.

Situation

The Rectory is situated in a stunning rural setting just outside of the small village of Kinnerley. The village benefits from a local shop, post office, recently refurbished public house, highly regarded primary school, church and communal tennis court. The nearby village of Knockin offers a few more local amenities, including a medical centre and the quintessentially English Knockin and Kinnerley cricket club, pitch and pavilion.

Further amenities can be found in the Welsh border town of Lllanymynech, or the larger town of Oswestry which provides a wealth of amenities including shopping, supermarkets, leisure facilities, restaurants and cafés. The A5 provides access to Chester, Shrewsbury and towards Telford and the M54 and M6, with rail services available at Shrewsbury, including services to Birmingham and London. The county has an excellent selection of schools in both the state and private sectors including Oswestry School, Ellesmere College, Moreton Hall, Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury High School, The Marches and The Corbet.

Directions

Directions From Shrewsbury, take the A5 north towards Oswestry. Follow the A5 for seven miles, and at the Wolfshead Roundabout, take the first exit onto the B4396. After half a mile, turn left and continue for two miles into Kinnerley. Upon reaching Kinnerley, with the village Primary School on the left turn right into Argoed Road where Argoed House can be found on your left.
