Wilson Meadow is named after The Reverend Clement Eustace Macro Wilson who was the Vicar of Calverhall for 2 years from 1910-1912 later returning again in 1925 remaining the Vicar of Calverhall until his death in 1944. Clement Wilson was also a renowned cricketer being a Blue Captain for Cambridge University and later playing in two Test matches for England.

The Local Area
Calverhall recently won a countywide community award, naming it the best village in Shropshire. It also boasts active sports and social groups, including cricket, tennis, bowls and a snooker/pool/recreation club, a public house and a much used village hall – in fact, all in all it has more than some much larger villages.
Calverhall has also recently won praise for its improvement in recent years, due largely to a number of schemes, especially the Millennium Pond which sits either side of the road as an entrance way into the village from the Prees Road.
Whitchurch Station is just 5 miles from Wilson Meadow with trains to Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Chester making onward travel to further destinations very convenient.
Being close to the A49 Wilson Meadow is very well situated for links to all the major motorways across the UK.
Shrewsbury is only 23 miles and Chester is 26 miles away both have train stations with direct routes London.

Whitchurch is a market town in the north of Shropshire, England. It lies 2 miles east of the Welsh border, 2 miles south of the Cheshire border, 20 miles north of the county town of Shrewsbury, 20 miles south of Chester, and 15 miles east of Wrexham.
